Sony has today posted an 11-minute video detailing everything there is to know about the all-new PlayStation 5 user interface. Taking the form of a State of Play presentation, the Japanese giant takes a deep dive into a completely new set of features.

Sony has gone very big on putting as much information upfront as possible. With the touch of a button, you can cycle through integrated news pieces from your favourite games, recently captured screenshots, and what Sony is dubbing "Activities". This is a feature we've heard about for months now as they give you a good indicator of whereabouts you are in a level and how many more minutes it'll take to complete it. You can even check out the objectives you have left to complete.

Elsewhere, the rumoured in-game tips system is revealed to be an actual thing. You can pin hints and guides to your screen to help you out in a sticky situation. Then we touch on the Create button, which is demonstrated via Photo Mode in Destruction AllStars. You can snap images in real-time and send them to friendship groups.

Back on the home screen, an Explore tab will keep you up to date with all the latest news from Sony (available only in the US at launch) while the PlayStation Store is now fully integrated into the system. It's no longer a separate app like on PlayStation 4.

So, what do you make of this introduction to the PS5 UI? Are you a fan or do you not like it? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
